so, backtrack to last monday night. doing some clean up in the basement, changing the air filters, its all good. then i scrapped my finger on the wire on back of said air filters. oops. a few hours later, i decided to get professional help since it was still bleeding and a tetanus booster was probably not a bad idea. so, sis kindly took me to the er and i got all stitched up. three to be exact! so, i got them out today, and it is nice to be free a bit. i still need to keep it covered a few days until it heals more, otherwise the boo-boo will break and i'll be back at square one instead of nothing. so, now i can at least type normally again, so that is a relief!
to summarize the past blogless week.....i managed to crack the screen on my laptop :/ it's not bad, still totally usable, but i will take it to get repair this weekend. because, i don't want liquid crystal all over the place, right? otherwise, i'm happily planning out my SF. i've divided my 45 minutes up into two acts with about 8 scenes each (presumably 4 before each commercial break). and, i know i will have three main plots and two sub-main plots, so i've got those all assigned to a scene in each part. i'm getting close to setting up one main plot; i started out knowing what one would be already, so that just means i have one more main and two subs to go. because, if i dare say it, i might try and do two scripts. why not? you have to write so super fast on a normal soap, so i can't believe it's not doable. its just a matter of sciencing it out. i've been trying to draw out a map too, to help me spatially place my story and characters/scenes. man i am so visual! i have to have pictures just to think.
and a few parting thoughts - i missed the daytona 500 but was able to keep in touch by reading the lap by lap updates on my cell (thank you mobile browsing!) what a disappointing race. not just jr's, um, track problems? but that they just called the race! there was so much time left, who knows what could have happened. rain delay pishaw. also, all the internets buzz seems to think that nascar needs to get back in control of the televising situation, and go back to how it used to be - race starts at 1:30 ish and it's over when all the laps are done! especially because of the forecasted rain...those extra two hours would have made a lot of difference. oh well. there's always next week...

JR's comments about Brian Vickers were priceless!
